Corded Buttonhole

z With the buttonhole foot raised, hook the

ﬁller cord on the cord spur at the back of the

buttonhole foot.

Bring the ends toward you under the

buttonhole foot until they clear the front end.

Hook the ﬁller cord into the fork on the front of

the buttonhole foot to hold them tight.

x Lower the needle into the garment where the

buttonhole will start and lower the foot.

Depress the foot control gently and sew the

buttonhole.

Each side of the buttonhole and the bartacks

will be sewn over the cord.

* The sewing steps are the same as the

automatic buttonhole sewing.

c Remove the fabric from the machine and cut

the sewing threads.

Pull the left end through a darning needle,

draw to the bottom side of the fabric and cut.
